Cholera, yellow fever, malaria, meningitis – these and other diseases are unfortunately the everyday life in the massively underserved north of Cameroon. Several hundred humans, mainly children and infants, die every year due to the absence of drugs and health stations. Therefore, it is very important to ident.africa to build up a broad health infrastructure.
Since there is no annual preventive vaccination program in Cameroon, ident.africa has initiated the vaccination of thousands of school kids against meningitis in the region of Garoua.
Health stations and hospitals
Especially in the rural regions the health infrastructure is still insufficient. Through the construction of basic health care facilities, ident.africa has created the base for a medical treatment of the school kids as well as the whole community.
